WPBook was started in October 2007 as a project of the Center for History and New Media (CHNM) at George Mason University by Dave Lester.The goal was to find a way to bring a self hosted WordPress blog into Facebook as an application.
John Eckman joined the project in May of 2008 and has since become the lead developer on the project.
Brooke. joined the project in August 2008.
The project was originally hosted as part of the ScholarPress project at CHNM but has since become an independent project. You can often find blog entries and updates on WPBook at John’s site Open Parenthesis.
